"Catch Me If You Can" musical has proved its popularity by reaching 1st in sales ranks in the first 30 minutes.
The tickets went on sale on February 7th on an online site. The musical ranks 1st in ticket sales in the first 30 minutes of release. It beat other popular musicals such as, Notre Dame De Paris, Mamma Mia, Das Musical Elisabeth, Gwanghwamin Loce Song, and Docter Zhivago.
The 'Catch Me If You Can' musical is based on the movie which was directed by Steven Spielberg. It starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. The musical was nominated in four different categories at the Tony Awards. It also received the Best Actor and Choreography prize at Drama Desk Awards in 2011.
Spokesperson for M Musical Company said, "Fans from all over the world are making inquiries about the musical. SNSD's Sunny also decided to appear in the musical and helped sell out the tickets."
Key and other idols such as Um Ki Joon, SuJu's Kyu Hyun, Kim Jung Hoon, Park Kwang Hyun, and Choi Woo Ri, Dana, SNSD's Sunny will appear in the musical as well.
"Catch Me If You Can" musical will open to the public on March 28th through June 10th.
