SHINee opens up on recent rumors about fasting and extra member

 

The SHINee boys opened up about some rumors that they had heard about themselves through their handwritten resumes for Mnet's Wide Entertainment News on March 29th. In the resume they had to write down basic information about themselves, a self introduction, strengths and weaknesses, interests, and lastly rumors. Their answers for the oddest rumors they've heard and their explanations where very entertaining. 

Onew and Key answered "Fasting rumors" and "Don't you ever eat? Yes, we do eat". Jonghyun and Minho calmly answered "Not much" and "There's no need to explain rumors". Lastly, Taemin wrote "That SHINee has six members".

 

Jonghyun's witty résumé for Mnet

Before their appearance on Mnet Wide News' open studio on the 29th SHINee wrote their résumés. The Mnet résumé asks for a basic profile, interests, pros and cons, a self introduction, and rumors. Jonghyun's witty personality  wan be seen on his self introduction which he wrote, "Hello, I am Jonghyun of SHINee. If you're curious, go search it on Naver. Search it twice." He wrote down for the most memorable fan, "A Taemin fan who held my had as she cried."

SM Entertainment released dance version of 'Sherlock'

Since the release of their mini-album 'Sherlock', SM Entertainment has also released the MV and practice video for the song 'Sherlock' (Clue + Note). Now, they have also released a dance version of 'Sherlock' (Clue + Note).

The practice video the museum set that they used in the original MV and the outfits that they wore when they performed on M! Countdown last Thursday. 

Since the release of the MV it has gained more that three million views on YouTube.

In other related news, SHINee has announced that they will promote their new mini-album 'Sherlock' in South Korea for 4 weeks before the beginning of their arena tour in Japan. After they finish their tour, they will return to South Korea and release their third full-length album. Are you exited Shawols?

'Sherlock' ranks #4 on 'Most Viewed Videos' on YouTube

As most of you know, SHINee has made a marvelous comeback with their new mini-album 'Sherlock'.  The MV for the song 'Sherlock' (Clue+Note) on the mini-album has already surpassed 2 million views in a matter of days after release.


Not only was the video ranked number 4 on Most Viewed Videos, but it also ranked #1 on Most Commented Videos, Most Liked Videos, and Most Favorited Videos on YouTubes worldwide charts. Shawols all over the world have surly shown much support for the groups new mini-album.

SHINee's MV for 'Sherlock (Clue+Note) reaches over 2 million views in just days

SHINee has been gaining much attention with the release of their new album 'Sherlock' And after much anticipation the MV for the song 'Sherlock' was released on March 22nd. In a single day the MV reached more that 1 million views. On March 24th  at 5:30 KST, SHINee's new MV reached about 1.6 million. Now, the MV has more then 2 million views and counting. Watch the new MV below if you haven't seen it already. ^^

SHINee's new mini-album 'Sherlock' goes out of stock on many online stores

Many online stores have been reported to be out of stock of the new mini-album that was just released a few days ago. Though this may sound a a pretty good thing this actually isn't. 

Hanteo reported that there where about 18,000 soled on March 21st and about 17,000 on March 22nd. This roughly adds up to just about 35,000. There are also the albums that have been sold for the fan signing events.

There also hasn't been enough albums printed to fulfill all of the pre-orders in Korea alone. This incident has happened in the past, though, this time the number is exceedingly large. Fans in Korea are not able to receive their orders. Therefore, likely (but not definite), that fans overseas will also not get their orders right away.

Some of the online music stores are saying that they will re-stock on Tuesday. The bad part to all of this is that Music Bank cuts of their count for next week's chart on Sunday. That means all of the unfulfilled preorders are not going to be counted until the week after in April. Fans in Korea have been advised to go and buy the album offline wherever they are in stock.

SHINee has toppend the online music charts with their new mini-album 'Sherlock' that was released on March 21st. On the 23rd SM Entertainment that the new mini-album had topped the real-time and daily online charts. Those such as Hot Tracks and Hanteo Chart.

"Taemin, who is considered the “National Maknae” to the noonas, is turning twenty this year. Instead of the boys, we have to accept the “young adult” SHINee. It is the destiny of a fan to watch the growth of the star, but an empty feeling in the heart can’t be helped as SHINee was the first to arouse the Korean noonas’ “ache” instinct. We met with SHINee who has come back after a year and 6 months with their new album Sherlock. They are not boys like a flower beneath the spring sunlight but men who create a dynamic shock. During the shoot, SHINee was overflowing with energy and was handsome. They were just like how the young adults of their age would be.

Onew
The song that made SHINee grow
“Juliette”. We were the same for “Replay” and “Love Like Oxygen”. SHINee’s own color came out during “Juliette”. We changed our appearance a little and we were in our 20’s (laugh). I think this song was the chance to perform what fit our age. SHINee is doing what they can do now. I hope people can see it that way.
SHINee in their 20’s
(Referring to his makeup) My eyebrows are getting darker and darker. We've stood on various stages and held concerts throughout the past 6 months. We’ve gathered so much experience that promotions this time around look like they’ll be more fun. I feel a lot more comfortable compared to when we were in our 10’s.
Paris and London
I thought they liked our music, but I had no idea that they would like us. I guess it felt like the tables were turned. I started feeling confident and thought, “So K-pop can be loved by people this far away. We can show our performances here too.”
To be honest
My personality is not that great (laugh). I normally enjoy being quiet. I’m the type to get really angry if people are chatting next to me when I’m trying to concentrate. And I don’t really care about anything else that much but when I sing, I become keen.
Dream performance
What would it feel like to sing at the Roman Colosseum where gladiator battles were held?


Jonghyun
“Sherlock” stage
People are first going to say that it’s “powerful”. The performance is packed with not just the song but the dance as well, so it’ll be a lot of fun.
Japanese debut
Our first full Japanese album was released not too long ago. We sang songs from 4 years ago again in Japanese and it felt different. I hope people will listen to “Start” and “To Your Heart” which are tracks only included in the full Japanese album. The whole sound is bright and cool, so it will feel refreshing.
2011 SHINee news
We had a lot of schedules overseas. We went to Europe, Asia, America, and Russia. The performance at Abbey Road in London was the most memorable one. I was proud to sing at the land of pop music and it was new to us as it was a stage to let people know about our Japanese debut. It’s a shame that I was a little hurt though.
Development
Whenever we practice a new dance for our new album or practice for a live performance, I always think “Is this possible? Really?” It was like that for “Lucifer” and for “Juliette”. Even if it seems impossible, we are always growing with the bumps and friction. It’s the same this time around as well. We are trying to start off confidently because this song requires us to.

Taste of impact
We want people to look forward to our music after this album, so there are a lot of things we have saved. “Sherlock” is like a “taste of the impact”.
Regarding the popular things
I think popular music is what popular artists do. That’s why “Why is that artist not popular?” doesn’t make any sense. That’s why I always hear “It sounds like it’s extremely popular” as that it sounds the same. Lately in the music industry, it seems people put out the same things and compete over who is better. They work with the best composer and best stylist and they go to the best hair salon. Rather than gaining popularity and not having our own personality, we want to show people the things that only we can do while approaching popularity steadily.
20 year old Taemin
I’m not used to it. We still see him like the first time we saw him, but people around us keep saying that he’s in his 20’s. We first met when Taemin was in his 6th year of elementary school and I was in my 2nd year of middle school. Seeing each other in the process of becoming an adult is odd.
SHINee’s 20’s
I wish we can spend it like Peter Pan. I want us to enjoy the present as much as we can. It's because we learned when we were in our 10’s was. We grew backwards. We started our social life when we were in our 10’s and now we know up to a point of what we should and should not do. From now on is the time to enjoy it!
Comeback
I want to see my close friends from Kara or Beast on music programs, but there’s only honbaes at the broadcast stations now. What do I do? I can’t adjust well to the honbaes greeting me (laugh).
Present self
I am doing really well. I have fun and I work hard. I don’t mean that I’m experiencing different things than others. It’s just that I’m thankful to be able to work hard at my things. I have never once regretted my decision.


Minho
Sherlock
Our title track “Sherlock” combined two different tracks and is a way to show a new 3rd product. Of course the original tracks will all be included in the album. It just has this kind of fun attempt. It’s going to be a special album.
Intensive practice
Even if we practice it twice, we’re exhausted. We’re actually shooting the music video tomorrow and I’m worrying a lot because we have to keep dancing for a few hours. If we want it to come out great, we have to work hard even if it’s tiring.
Salamander Guru and The Shadows
Oh Dalsoo, Lee Byungjun, Im Wonhee sunbaenim along with the others have been acting for as long as I’ve been alive. There are so many things that I can learn because I am with them. They point out each and every part that I, acting for the first time, have missed. After filming a scene with Oh Dalsoo sunbaenim, I was so discontent at my part that the director said to shoot it over one more time. I was really thankful!
4 Years
When I debuted, I was scared of the response to my words and actions, so I gave off a quiet impression, I have gradually gotten used to broadcasts and the stage so everything has been more natural for me lately. I feel that my true self is coming out a lot.


Taemin
20 years old
I think I’m of the age to start taking care of myself on my own now. I have a lot of honbaes now, so I believe I should be a good model. When I meet honbaes at the stations, the feeling will be new.
To the artists in their 10’s
I debuted at a young age and I was nervous because I felt that I wasn’t ready. Instead of staying with the same image, it’s better to show the world you and yourself. I hope you will think positively.
Immortal Song 2
I felt burdened and I was so nervous because a lot of competing singers come out. But because it’s a chance to show the public new sides of myself, I had fun even though it was tiring. If I had to pick a best performance, it would be when I sang Kim Gunmo sunbaenim’s “Wrongful Meeting”.
20’s SHINee
After I became 20, I felt that I became closer with the hyungs. Even though we’re only 3 years apart, there’s still a gap between the 10’s and 20’s. Now that we’re all in our 20’s, I think we can communicate a little more comfortably.
20 year old fantasies
It’s basically the things I couldn’t do when I was underaged. I’ve planned on learning how to drink from the hyungs but I haven’t been able to practice it yet.
Taemin’s focus
Key hyung is precise. He always has things to do tomorrow. Onew hyung naps often. Minho hyung works out frequently and is very active. Jonghyun hyung is obsessed with the gym lately. Me? I, myself, am wandering (laugh)"

Jonhyun sings a snippet of new song 'Sherlock'

On the 15th of March SM Entertainment posted a 45 second video on their official YouTube page. In the video Jonghyun sings a small one verse snippet of their new song 'Sherlock'. The scheduled release for their new album will be on March 21st. Though, it will be digitally released on March 19th. They will make their comeback performance on M! Countdown and other music shows over the weekend. Watch the video of Jonghyun below! ^^

Song 'Sherlock' off SHINee's new mini-album to be a "hybrid remix" of two songs.

SM Entertainment has recently described SHINee's new song 'Sherlock' off their new mini-album saying,

"'Sherlock' is the best two independent songs put together to form something called a 'hybrid remix'. It will have a unique charm as though you're listening to a musical. SHINee has been recognized as a contemporary group for its fresh and experimental music in their past albums, but this album will also be able to show the one of a kind colors of SHINee."

Lyrics in their new song will be describing Sherlock's solving of a crime though clues and notes. 'Sherlock' combined the lyrics from two songs so that they created a single storyline. This should be interesting seeing how the lyrics and melody differ in the two combined songs.
